Many thanks to IFP (www.ifp.org) for championing Smush Media once again... both Motherland and Mine were Independent Film Week selections, and are excited for the opportunity to return to the market again this year.  We love IFP!!!

OK, so we admit it... we suck at blogging.  As you can tell by the fact that it's been (eek) a year since the last time we posted anything new up here!  We are seriously ashamed.

But we've got some really great excuses (even better than the usual "we've been busy")...

Jennifer's latest production, Desert Runners, took her all over the world in 2010 (Europe, Chile, China, Egypt, Antarctica... and soon to be Australia).  We are now sitting on 100 hours of amazing footage and fundraising for post... home stretch... hope to release the film in early 2012.

Jennifer is also working on a narrative short film and producing an amazing new show for ABC, FINAL WITNESS, coming in January, 2012... stay tuned for updates on that!

Welcome to the new and improved Smush website!  It's been a long time coming, but we have a very good excuse... it's been a busy year!

So many amazing things have happened since MINE and Motherland both premiered at SXSW last March, and it's been quite an exciting roller coaster ride for all of us here at Smush.  Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us and promoted us and cheered us on as we birthed these two films into the world.  The overwhelming success of both films would never have been possible without everyone who believed in us and gave so generously of themselves (time, money, talent, free food, etc).  Thank you all for helping us realize this crazy/semi-psychotic dream of making documentary films.
